Seeq Team Chris Herrera Posted June 20 Seeq Team Share Posted June 20 At Seeq, we recognize that discrete sets of data aren't always available in traditional sources of truth like historians or databases. To address this, we're excited to announce that we're open sourcing the Directory Watch Connector! In the past, this connector has been difficult to support due to the numerous edge cases that come with file-based access. By providing access to the code, we hope developers will be able to implement the required functionality for their use cases without starting from scratch. However, we want to caution users that not storing data in a source of truth like a database or a historian is generally an antipattern. If possible, we recommend addressing this within your data architecture to ensure data integrity and accessibility in the long term. Seeq is not a historian. Seeq accesses your time-series data from your sources of truth ensuring that you have performant, secure, and consistent access to your data for analytics. We will commit to ensuring that this connector is compatible with future versions of Seeq. However, we invite developers to contribute to the Directory Watch Connector by filing issues, adding functionality, or improving documentation. Join us on GitHub and help us make this connector even better: GitHub - Seeq Directory Watch Connector.
